Shady Grove Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

Shady Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a 130-bed facility located in Montgomery County on the medical campus next to Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. The nursing center provides a variety of care options, including comprehensive nursing and rehabilitation services, and assisted living.

As we grow older, our physical and mental abilities change. Though it is natural to want to continue to be as independent as possible, there may come a time when living on one's own is no longer the safest or best choice. To address the unique situations and needs that come with aging, we offer a comprehensive range of senior services.

Creating a Supportive Community

There's always something happening at our facility. For example, armchair aerobics, creative arts or afternoon socials.

Our volunteers and families help with everything from letter writing to holiday parties. We also offer religious services from a variety of denominations.

We strive to promote such comforts of home as attractive artwork and inviting common areas. Security systems, smoke alarms, sprinkler systems and a 24-hour call system give our residents a sense of security. Our residents have the choice of either semi-private or private room arrangements. The housekeeping is taken care of by our nursing center staff.

Our dietary staff provides three meals a day plus nutritious and tasty snacks that can follow specific dietary needs.

Personal care and hygiene is aided by nursing assistants who help residents with dressing, grooming and bathing.

Our center is part of Adventist HealthCare, a family of health care providers serving the Mid-Atlantic region, that has access to a network of health care resources including Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Washington Adventist Hospital, Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital of Maryland, home care services, nursing and rehabilitation centers, an assisted living community, an adult day care center and other specialized health care services.

Creating a Caring Community

Our on-site adult day care program is designed to stimulate and preserve a sense of well being through a variety of social and therapeutic activities.

Kingshire Manor Assisted Living, located next door, provides nursing supervision, health monitoring, educational programs and social events.

Our licensed nurses and therapists address the special needs of patients who require close monitoring following a hospital stay.

If your loved one needs short-term care, our nursing center can help on a bed- available basis.

Long-term care is provided for individuals who can no longer care for themselves, or who have medical needs that require daily nursing care.
