Ashley Sowers Joins Lourie Center Board of Directors

Rockville, MDThe Lourie Center for Children’s Social & Emotional Wellness (The Lourie Center) is pleased to announce that Ashley Sowers has joined its Board of Directors.

Ashley Sowers is the Regional Manager for 14 M&T Bank locations in Montgomery County. She previously served on the boards of Family Junction, a non-profit organization that aims to rebuild parent and child relationships, and the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Frostburg State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Mount St. Mary's University.

“Ashley is a seasoned finance executive whose leadership and passion for helping children and families will be an asset to the Lourie Center,” said Kevin Young, Chair of the Lourie Center Board of Directors and President of Adventist HealthCare Behavioral Health & Wellness Services.

The Lourie Center for Children’s Social & Emotional Wellness was founded in 1983 by the late Dr. Reginald S. Lourie and his colleagues. The Lourie Center is a private, non-profit agency with a mission to improve the social and emotional health of young children and their families through prevention, early intervention, education, research and training. In 2006, the Lourie Center affiliated with Adventist HealthCare. Based in Rockville, Maryland, the Lourie Center specializes in the assessment, treatment and prevention of emotional, behavioral and developmental problems in infants and young children.
