About Us
On December 2, 2004, Shady Grove Adventist Hospital celebrated its 25th anniversary. Over the past quarter-century, Shady Grove has grown to meet the constantly evolving health care needs of the community. When the hospital opened its doors in 1979, it stood alone among the undeveloped rolling pastures and farm fields of western Montgomery County. Since then, more than 300,000 new residents have moved to the county, and residential and commercial development around the hospital has skyrocketed.
Today, this 275-bed acute care hospital serves as a primary health care resource for more than 250,000 local residents. Shady Grove employs nearly 2,000 people and has a medical staff of over 1,000 physicians and is part of the Adventist HealthCare system.
