Bertha, a Spanish Language Specialist, visited Juan each morning to interpret the questions he had for his nurses and doctors.
“Having dedicated staff members like Bertha, who provide excellent, accurate medical translation for our Spanish speaking patients is invaluable. Her services produce better outcomes for our patients, helping them to understand their medical plans and get the most out of their treatments,” says Dr. David Brill.
Bertha’s role was created to improve communication between patients and clinical staff during and after their hospital stay. With Bertha’s support, Spanish-speaking patients are now able to communicate fully with their caregivers.
