Golfers Support Mothers and Babies

Mothers and babies are precious to Washington Adventist Hospital. And now, golfers are helping Washington Adventist Hospital to better serve the community. More than $60,000 (net) was raised in support of critical renovations to the hospital’s Maternal Child Services departments at the September 24th Golf Benefit hosted by the trustees of the Washington Adventist Hospital Foundation.

Team Medical Services, Inc. won first place at the Washington Adventist Hospital Foundation Golf Benefit with a gross score of 58 on the par 70 Chief course at Indian Spring Country Club. Pictured left to right: Matt Nafie, Rob Hayes, Fred Morgan, and Larry Pugh.

The Golf Benefit lead sponsors were The Foulger Pratt Companies and Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal. More than 100 other companies, small businesses, physicians, and individuals supported the Washington Adventist Hospital by participating in the golf event.

Renovations to Maternal Child Services will result in 15 redecorated private rooms for mothers and babies, a larger nurses station, an obstetrician lounge, refurbished corridors and a 12-bed unit for women who are admitted to the hospital during the course of their pregnancies.
