2005 Gala Review

Foundation Gala Benefits Surgical Services

Approximately 475 generous donors and volunteers gathered at the Bethesda North Marriott and Conference Center for the 17th Annual Black Tie Gala on April 9, 2005 to raise money for Surgical Services at Washington Adventist Hospital. In addition to a reception, a sumptuous dinner, and a very successful Silent Auction, the event featured a humorous speaker.

It is projected that the event will net just over $190,000. The funds will go toward updating instrumentation and maintain industry current equipment to remain market competitive. The event topped last year’s record of $180,000, which helped purchase equipment for the Maternal Child areas of the hospital.

A special thank you is extended to the participating physicians as well as the departments and employees who helped contact vendors, and to those who created beautiful silent auction items, such as baskets and artwork. We’re grateful to those who gave their time and financial support.
