6th Annual Golf Tournament Review
Indian Spring Country Club played host one last time to Washington Adventist Hospital Foundation’s Annual Golf Benefit in September 2006. Not even two days of continuous rain, which ended the night before, could stop this event from taking place, much to the relief of more than 125 golfers willing to play golf to save lives.
For our attendees, several prizes were up for grabs, including a 2007 Toyota Avalon from Lustine Toyota for anyone lucky enough to hit a Hole-in-One on the 17th hole (unfortunately no one did). The outing received rave reviews and $69,000 (net) was raised, with the proceeds benefiting Cancer Care Services and the purchase/installation of a new high dose rate brachytherapy unit, the GammaMedPlus 3 Channel (HDR) unit.
The event could not have been held without the generosity and giving spirit of those who sponsored complete teams and those who gave of their time and energy to help plan and manage the event. Again, the Washington Adventist Hospital School of Radiography faculty, staff and students volunteered at the benefit.
Washington Adventist Hospital Foundation and Cancer Care Services are grateful to each person who had a hand in making this event a success. Thank you for your commitment and support!
