The Cancer Program

Every day, more people join the ranks of cancer survivors because of the extraordinary strides being made in cancer treatment and research. In order for more patients to benefit from these advances, Washington Adventist Hospital has devoted a full range of medical services to fight against cancer. At our hospitals, the most sophisticated and modern techniques are integrated into deeply compassionate care that encompasses both patients and their families.

Medical Oncology

The oncology program at Washington Adventist Hospital covers every stage of cancer treatment from preventive care to diagnosis, pre-treatment evaluation, staging, treatment, rehabilitation and post-treatment monitoring. Both inpatient and outpatient services are available to accommodate a range of patient needs and preferences.

Radiation Oncology

The radiation oncology program at Washington Adventist Hospital is the area's first program accredited by the American College of Radiation Oncology and maintains a 30-year tradition of excellence and high quality care. Radiation oncologists and a Ph.D. physicist head a highly trained staff of registered technologists, dosimetrists, radiation oncology nurses and administrative personnel.
