Shady Grove Adventist Hospital Announces First Chief Medical Officer

Rockville , MD - Gaurov Dayal, M.D. has been named Shady Grove Adventist Hospital's first Chief Medical Officer.

In this vital new role, Dr. Dayal will assist the hospital in its pursuit of consistently delivering superior clinical outcomes and patient safety.  Dr. Dayal will also provide executive leadership in the design and development of clinical services and will be an integral part of the decision making for the hospital's strategy and planning.

Dr. Dayal has been on the medical staff at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital since 2003, and became the Vice President of Clinical Program Development at Shady Grove last year.  He has also successfully led the Pediatric Hospitalist and Intensive Care Program at Shady Grove.  Prior to joining Shady Grove's medical staff, he was a management consultant with McKinsey and Company, a global strategy consulting firm, where he advised clients in the healthcare industry.  A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, he received his M.D. at Northwestern University and completed his postgraduate training at Washington University , Saint Louis.
