Washington Adventist Hospital Appoints New Members to Governing Board

Takoma Park , Md. - Washington Adventist Hospital has appointed three new members to its Governing Board. The new members are: Carmen F. Camacho of Laurel, Md.; David M. Brill, MD, of Washington, DC; and Arshad M. Sheikh, MD of Potomac, Md.

Camacho is Vice President/Owner of Bud Miller Associates Inc. She has more than 25 years of successful leadership experience in policy development and administration/management, and has a high level of successful civic and community involvement. Camacho is a member and former chair of the Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Prince George's County Business Round Table Advisory Group and Past Treasurer of the Prince George's Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Brill is the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Washington Adventist Hospital, an interventional cardiologist, and a member of Cardiovascular Consultants, PA. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Brill is also Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda.

Dr. Sheikh is Director of Women's Services at Washington Adventist Hospital. He has 27 years of service and has held numerous leadership roles at the hospital, where he is a patient advocate and a positive force in promoting collaboration among all caregivers. Dr. Sheikh is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is also in private practice in Takoma Park.
