Adventist HealthCare Names Health Care Industry Alliance Executive to Board of Trustees

Rockville, Md.— Adventist HealthCare of Rockville recently named Robin J. Thomashauer, executive director of CAQH (the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare), to its Board of Trustees.

CAQH, a nonprofit alliance of health plans and networks, is a catalyst for healthcare industry collaboration on initiatives that simplify healthcare administration for health plans and providers, resulting in a better care experience for patients and caregivers.  Thomashauer has held her position with the organization since October 2001.

A Bethesda resident, Thomashauer has almost 30 years of experience with hospitals, health plans and consulting groups, focusing primarily on non-profit organizations.  Prior to joining CAQH, she was a Director in the Payer Practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers.  She has also held senior positions with the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Mid-Atlantic States Region, including Vice President of Strategic Planning.  In addition, she has held management and administrative roles in hospitals including Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford, Ill., and Mercy Hospital in Chicago, Ill.

Thomashauer holds a Master's in Health Services Administration from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from Colgate University.
