Washington Adventist Hospital Appoints New Member to Governing Board

Takoma Park, Md. - Washington Adventist Hospital has appointed Pastor Franklin David of Burtonsville, Maryland to its Governing Board.

Pastor Franklin David is senior pastor of the Southern Asian Seventh-day Adventist Church in Silver Spring and is a third generation pastor in the Seventh-day Adventist denomination. He has also worked as a medical technologist and a hospital administrator in India and in mid-management at Children's National Medical Center.

"I am pleased to welcome Pastor David to the Governing Board of Washington Adventist Hospital," said Jere D. Stocks, president of the hospital. "One of the elements of our Vision for Expanded Access is to re-develop our board to better reflect the communities we serve. Pastor David has a deep appreciation for the hospital's mission and brings valuable insight to our board that will further build on Washington Adventist Hospital's vision of expanding health access to the communities we serve."
