Washington Adventist Hospital Names Chief Operating Officer

Takoma Park, Md. - Joyce Portela has joined Washington Adventist Hospital as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Campus Administrator. Portela was formerly the Chief Operations Officer at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Kansas City, KS and Tennessee Christian Medical Center in Madison, TN. She has worked in Adventist hospitals in California, Florida, Kansas and Tennessee for more than twenty years.

"Joyce is deeply committed to our mission and leading Washington Adventist Hospital in continually delivering safe, high-quality, compassionate care as the hospital also works to expand access to care for the communities we serve as part of our Vision for Expanded Access," said Jere Stocks, Hospital President.

Washington Adventist Hospital has been serving its communities in Montgomery and Prince George's County for more than 100 years.
