LifeWork Strategies Wins Workplace Excellence Award for Third Consecutive Year
Rockville, Md. - LifeWork Strategies, part of Adventist HealthCare, has been named a winner of the 2009 Workplace Excellence Award presented by the Alliance for Workplace Excellence (AWE).
This is the third consecutive year that LifeWork Strategies has been selected to receive this honor, which recognizes employers in the D.C. region that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to helping employees achieve professional fulfillment and work/life balance.
"We are honored to be recognized by the Alliance for Workplace Excellence for simply following our mission to improve the physical, mental and spiritual health and wellness of our own employees, and our clients," said Robert Trachman, Executive Director of LifeWork Strategies. "We accomplish this by delivering a continuum of excellent wellness services and management products to effectively control health care costs which, at the same time, support healthy lifestyles, promote a higher quality of life and improve employee morale."
Employee services offered by LifeWork Strategies, a joint venture between Adventist HealthCare and InforMed, include confidential counseling, wellness coaching, health screenings, access to more than 200 wellness seminars, and consultation on elder and child care as well as legal and financial issues. These programs align with the examples of excellence practices AWE seeks in selecting businesses for the prestigious Workplace Excellence Award.
The Alliance for Workplace Excellence will hold its Annual Awards Luncheon on June 3 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. Sixty-six Washington, D.C.-area businesses will be honored at the event. The Alliance is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded by Montgomery County, Maryland, and Discovery Communications, Inc.
