Washington Adventist Hospital Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Appointed Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Montgomery Hospice

Takoma Park, Md. - Washington Adventist Hospital Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Paul Nicholson has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Montgomery Hospice.

Nicholson, formerly treasurer of the Montgomery Hospice Board, has served in his role at Washington Adventist Hospital for four years. He received his B.A. in Hospital Administration from Concordia College, Moorehead, MN, and his M.B.A in Healthcare Administration for Baruch College, City University of New York (CUNY).

"I am honored to serve and support Montgomery Hospice, which is dedicated to providing skilled and compassionate end-of-life care and grief support to our community," Nicholson said.

Last year, Montgomery Hospice provided nearly 1,500 Montgomery County residents with compassionate, end-of-life care in their homes, in nursing facilities, in hospitals and at Casey House, an acute in-patient facility. Approximately 5,650 county residents took part in Montgomery Hospice's grief support groups and workshops. Montgomery Hospice volunteers and board members donated 10,464 hours to support Montgomery Hospice staff, patients and their families.

"We are pleased that Paul generously volunteers his time to support Montgomery Hospice, a non-profit healthcare organization carrying out a vital mission," said Jere Stocks, President of Washington Adventist Hospital.

Washington Adventist Hospital is a state-of-the-art acute care facility located in Takoma Park, Maryland.
