Esther Kaleko-Kravitz Joins Adventist Behavioral Health
Rockville, MD – Adventist Behavioral Health is pleased to announce the addition of Esther Kaleko-Kravitz in a newly created role as director of service excellence and consumer advocacy. Kravitz was formerly executive director of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) – Montgomery County. In her new role at Adventist Behavioral Health Rockville, Kravitz will spearhead constituency-building and patient advocacy efforts for the organization’s services in Montgomery County.
“I am thrilled that Esther joined our team,” said Sako Maki, President of Adventist Behavioral Health. “She brings a wealth of knowledge about what our patients and families need in a behavioral health treatment program and she will help us incorporate this feedback into our programs and services so that we can better meet the needs of our patients, residents, and the larger community.”
Kravitz brings more than 15 years of experience in strategic program development, public policy, fundraising, and advocacy-building for non-profit mental health organizations. She has served on a number of Montgomery County-based committees, including the Montgomery County Behavioral Health
Criminal Justice Committee, the St. Mark Coalition on Mental Health, and the Mental Health Advisory Committee.
Kravitz holds a bachelor’s degree in speech pathology from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in education and counseling from American University.
