Washington Adventist Hospital Appoints New Member to Governing Board

Takoma Park , MD Washington Adventist Hospital has appointed Ali Reza Manouchehri, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of MetroStar Systems of Reston, Virginia to its governing board.

Manouchehri heads MetroStar Systems, a leader in full-service information technology and strategies for new media and enterprise collaboration. Manouchehri’s responsibilities as a Governing Board member include supporting the mission and strategic vision of Washington Adventist Hospital.

“We are so pleased Mr. Manouchehri has joined the Governing Board for Washington Adventist Hospital,” said Joyce Portela, President of Washington Adventist Hospital. “He contributes an important expertise and understanding of new and evolving technologies that can help improve and expand access to health care. Mr. Manouchehri is also a very successful local business leader and we will benefit greatly from his vision, experience and participation.”

Manouchehri is a long-time supporter and partner of Washington Adventist Hospital. In November 2010, he was honored with the Spirit of Innovation Award at the Washington Adventist Hospital Gala. He was recognized for embracing technological innovation in health care and supporting the hospital via new media strategies to improve communication between its health providers, patients and community.
