Adventist HealthCare Physical Health & Rehabilitation Opens New Outpatient Clinic at Washingtonian RIO

Rockville, Md.Adventist HealthCare Physical Health & Rehabilitation has opened a new outpatient clinic for orthopedic and sports-related injuries. The new clinic, which is located in the Washingtonian Rio Sport & Health in Gaithersburg, MD, offers hands-on physical therapy and rehabilitation by certified manual therapists and sports medicine physicians who specialize in the treatment of athletic and orthopedic injuries.

“We are pleased to expand our outpatient services to bring this important therapy clinic out into the community in a location that is convenient for patients,” said Brent Reitz, President of Adventist HealthCare Physical Health & Rehabilitation. “We are committed to helping our patients return to activities that they love by delivering convenient and customized care to those in need of rehabilitative care.”

The new outpatient facility features the latest advances in rehabilitation equipment including the anti-gravity treadmill, which uses groundbreaking technology to reduce recovery time from a sports-related injury or orthopedic condition. In addition, the new clinic offers a number of convenient options for clients, including on-site childcare during scheduled sessions, easy access to parking and a one-month free club membership to the Rio Sport & Health facility after completion of therapy.

“We offer our clients individualized services using the latest in therapy equipment. Our goal is to deliver world class clinical care in a world class environment and our new clinic at the Rio Sport and Health will achieve that goal,” said Robert Grange, Associate Vice President of Adventist HealthCare Physical Health & Rehabilitation.

Adventist HealthCare Physical Health & Rehabilitation is the only facility in a five-state region to be accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International in all four specialty areas – brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation and stroke.

Adventist HealthCare Physical Health & Rehabilitation is the first and only acute rehabilitation hospital in Montgomery County. The facility first opened its doors in January 2001 to offer specialized inpatient
and outpatient treatment for persons with functional limitations. Services include comprehensive rehabilitation programs for brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, strokes, amputations, orthopedic injuries and surgeries, sports- related injuries, work-related injuries, cardiopulmonary conditions and neurological disorders. Adventist Physical Health & Rehabilitation is part of the Adventist HealthCare, which includes hospitals, home health agencies and other healthcare services.
