Healthy Community Impact Fund Participant Benefits

The Adventist HealthCare Healthy Community Impact Fund is an annual giving program designed for local business partners with an interest in joining our efforts to improve the general health of the community in which we both live.

Your participation in the Healthy Community Impact Fund provides a number of benefits including:

Benefits to the Community

Support of the Healthy Community Impact Fund will be important to sustaining and growing quality programs that promote healthy children, encourage healthy lifestyles for seniors, foster healthy families, and in a holistic way build healthier communities.

Through your contributions to this Fund, together, we can ensure that all the entities of Adventist HealthCare will continue their efforts to provide excellence in the delivery of programs and initiatives that improve access to health care services, continue to grow programs and services in the areas of oncology, heart/cardiac, rehabilitation, behavioral health, other health care services, and children and family services.

Examples of How Your Investment Might Be Applied:

  • The purchase of equipment for the three Adventist HealthCare hospital emergency departments to improve services to the thousand of patients who visit these emergency rooms each year.
  • Support for inpatient and outpatient Cancer Care Services that will improve access and services to comprehensive cancer treatment services.
  • Support for Women’s and Children Services, including the creation of a Hispanic Obstetrics outreach program, and expansion of a neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
  • Support the renovation of the Residential Treatment Center - Adolescent Girls Unit that offers an intensive program for young women who require long-term treatment because their significant behavioral, emotional, and medical needs cannot be met in a community setting.
  • Program support for Operation Runaway, a community-based, family-focused, and crisis-oriented program to assist at-risk runaway youth and their families. Operation Runaway provides free, therapeutic support services, education and advocacy in an effort to prevent and reduce runaway behavior.
  • Provide financial support to young children and their families who otherwise could not afford the various services and programs of the Reginald S. Lourie Center including, the Lourie Center School that serves children from nursery (age four) through grade five who have complex emotional and developmental problems which interfere with their ability to learn in a traditional school setting), the Therapeutic Nursery Program, the outpatient Parent-Child Clinical Services Program, and the Center’s Before and After Care Program.
  • Purchase of the following items for rehabilitation services: an accessible van, rehabilitation equipment (such as power wheel chairs or light/sport wheel chairs) a car simulator for practice car transfers, and sleeper chairs.
