Join Our Volunteer Team and Make a Difference

Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center seeks volunteers, aged 15 and older, to help us achieve our vision of providing compassionate, patient-centered care for outpatients and complex inpatients that is second to none in quality and safety.

In 2012, 751 volunteers worked a collective 54,000 hours in 52 departments within the Hospital and Support Center. At Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center, we value the unique contributions that our volunteers make to our community. Our volunteers work in the gift shop, staff the information desks, visit patients, assist on the nursing units, and assist with clerical duties in various offices. Our volunteers enhance the hospital’s ability to effectively meet the growing needs of our community.

    This refresher childbirth class is for couples who have attended a childbirth preparation class within the last four years and only need a short review.

    Our Infant CPR for Parents class teaches parents CPR skills, safety, and management of choking for newborns through age one.

    If you are expecting a baby please join us for a walking tour of our Birth Suites and new Mother/Baby Unit. On-line registration is now available for our tours!
