About ACES
Adventist HealthCare, which includes Shady Grove and Washington Adventist hospitals, is pleased to offer the Ambulatory Care EMR Support (ACES) Initiative for the outpatient-based physician seeking an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) solution.
ACES is a strategic initiative sponsored by Adventist HealthCare to help accelerate the roll-out and adoption of Ambulatory EMR Solutions to our Physicians.
ACES seeks to enhance patient care and improve practice efficiency by building data connectivity between Adventist HealthCare hospitals and its affiliated physician population. The ACES Program allows physician practices to remain independently operated, while providing the benefits of an integrated delivery network.
MSO Designated
Adventist HealthCare’s ACES Program is proud to announce that it has received Management Service Organization (MSO) designation from the Maryland Health Care Commission (MHCC). As an MSO, ACES is poised to continue its growth and assisting ambulatory physicians acquire electronic medical records.
The MSO structure was created by MHCC as a method to increase adoption of electronic medical records (EMR) by ambulatory physicians. Through centralization of data storage, MSOs address the two greatest barriers of EMR adoption for office-based physicians – cost and maintenance of software, and the requirements associated with storing patients’ personal health information.
