"LINKS" Unit (Learning Independence & New Key Skills)

Our LINKS Unit serves males with an IQ range of 55-70 who have a primary mental health diagnosis and the following:

• Adolescent males who need a more structured environment that could not be provided in a community-based setting, such as group home, therapeutic foster care, community wrap-around services
• Mental health diagnosis from a licensed mental health provider, with primary diagnosis other than conduct disorder
• Recommended by a local core service agency
• Individuals without a history of severe sexually acting out, extremely aggressive behavior, and/or extreme fire-setting behaviors
• Early Decision/Early Action admissions option

Our Treatment Models Include:

• MANDT System: building therapeutic relationships through increased communication to resolve conflicts in a safe environment
• Behavioral Intervention Support Team (BIST): social role modeling and regular reinforcement of positive behaviors

Our Services Include:

• Individual, group and family therapy
• Medication evaluation and adjustment, as necessary
• An evidence-based biofeedback program
• Off-grounds equine therapy
• Recreational, art and music therapy
• Social and life skills training
• Substance abuse education
