"LINKS" Unit (Learning Independence & New Key Skills)
Our LINKS Unit serves males with an IQ range of 55-70 who have a primary mental health diagnosis and the following:
- Adolescent males who need a more structured environment that could not be provided in a community-based setting, such as group home, therapeutic foster care, community wrap-around services
- Mental health diagnosis from a licensed mental health provider, with primary diagnosis other than conduct disorder
- Recommended by a local core service agency
- Individuals without a history of severe sexually acting out, extremely aggressive behavior, and/or extreme fire-setting behaviors
- Early Decision/Early Action admissions option
Our Treatment Models Include:
- MANDT System: building therapeutic relationships through increased communication to resolve conflicts in a safe environment
- Behavioral Intervention Support Team (BIST): social role modeling and regular reinforcement of positive behaviors
Our Services Include:
- Individual, group and family therapy
- Medication evaluation and adjustment, as necessary
- An evidence-based biofeedback program
- Off-grounds equine therapy
- Recreational, art and music therapy
- Social and life skills training
- Substance abuse education
