The Ridge School of the Eastern Shore
Our school is approved by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) to provide educational and therapeutic related services to general education students and students with emotional and behavioral disabilities.
Our services are designed for students in grades 3 through 12 in treatment at Adventist Behavioral Health at the Eastern Shore and day students that reside in the local community. The school is also approved to provide the GED TESTS Preparation Program. We offer intimate class sizes instructed by teachers certified by MSDE and our social workers manage small caseloads to allow students to receive the personal attention and care they need.
Our program provides academic coursework and services to move students toward high school graduation while supporting their overall behavioral treatment goals. By maintaining a structured environment and offering an instructional program that fosters academic excellence, our school prepares students for a successful transition to less restrictive settings and for post secondary opportunities.
Our Treatment Models Include:
- Crisis Management/Behavior Management Plan (MANDT System)
- Behavior Intervention Support Team Model (BIST)
