Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse Program

The Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides intensive evening treatment up to three nights a week to adults with substance abuse problems, or a combination of substance abuse, emotional and psychiatric-related problems. The program utilizes a step-down approach which focuses directly on the role of alcohol and drugs as they relate to problem feelings and behaviors, and how problems may be solved without turning to alcohol and drugs. Because the program meets in the evenings, it allows individuals to remain employed and live at home while getting the help they need

Adult IOP Program Features 

The Adult IOP includes, but is not limited to:

• Individualized treatment plan
• Drug education
• Alcohol and drug testing
• Relapse prevention
• Case management
• Family education and support
• Support group
• Communication with community professionals (as appropriate)
• 12-step participation is strongly recommended
• Additional referrals for needed medical, psychiatric, or other services are available.
