Daffodil Baez

President, Fort Washington Medical Center

Daffodil became President of Adventist HealthCare Fort Washington Medical Center in 2025. Previously, after joining Adventist HealthCare in 2023, she served as our inaugural Chief Executive Officer of the Howard University Faculty Practice Plan, an academic medical group of employed physicians and faculty. Through various initiatives, she quickly strengthened clinical quality metrics and improved operational and financial performance. Daffodil also developed strategic partnerships throughout the capital region to drive business development and enhance recognition.

Prior to her roles at AHC, Daffodil served as the Assistant Director of Clinical Operations for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and streamlined operations through process improvement strategies, galvanized performance to meet strategic targets, and directed the launch and operations of a joint venture with Texas Health Resources. Additionally, Daffodil held leadership positions as a clinical practice manager for multiple outpatient surgical clinics at an academic medical center in Texas, a chief transformation officer for an integrated behavioral healthcare group in Phoenix, and a practice administrator for a pediatrics practice also in Phoenix.

Daffodil earned her bachelor’s in psychology at Rice University, her MPH in Health Management from Columbia University-Mailman School of Public Health, and her MBA from Arizona State University. She is recognized as a Fellow by the American College of Healthcare Executives and has lent her expertise as a contributing author and through a variety of board memberships, including being a founding member of the DFW Chapter of the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives.
