Joy Amadi
Associate Vice President, Chief Compliance and Integrity Officer
Joy Amadi serves as the Associate Vice President, Chief Compliance and Integrity Officer for Adventist HealthCare. As the Chief Compliance and Integrity Officer, Joy oversees the Compliance and Privacy program, Grants Management and Research functions for the health system.
Joy joined Adventist HealthCare in January 2019, and served in multiple roles as a member of the Organizational Integrity team, conducting compliance investigations to ensure alignment with internal policies, legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. Over time, Joy was promoted to Director of the program where she led the Organizational Integrity team to conduct internal investigations, successfully resolved regulatory complaints, and provided compliance insight throughout the system. In January of 2024, Joy was named Associate Vice President, Chief Compliance and Integrity Officer.
Joy is a seasoned HealthCare Compliance Professional with over 20 years in the healthcare industry, including 14 years in various compliance roles in Maryland and Washington D.C. Throughout her career, Joy has demonstrated exceptional skill in developing and implementing comprehensive compliance programs, conducting compliance monitoring/auditing, and providing training to staff on compliance matters. Joy is proficient in identifying potential compliance risks and devising strategies to address them proactively.
Joy holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in health systems management from the University of Baltimore and is Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC). She is also a Six Sigma Green Belt and graduate of Leadership Montgomery’s Emerging Leaders program. Joy’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of compliance has established her as a trusted and reliable professional in the field.
