Dr. Patsy McNeil is the Executive Vice President and System Chief Medical Officer of Adventist HealthCare, a leading healthcare system serving the Washington, D.C. area. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, driving excellence in patient safety and quality care, and ensuring that Adventist HealthCare remains at the forefront of innovation in regional healthcare delivery.
Dr. McNeil holds dual undergraduate degrees in Anthropology and Biology from Washington University in St. Louis, followed by a medical degree from Vanderbilt University Medical School. She also earned an MBA with high distinction from University College London, combining her deep clinical expertise with advanced business acumen.
With over two decades of experience as a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician, Dr. McNeil’s career includes time as a flight physician and extensive training in emergency medicine from the University of Cincinnati where she served as Chief in her final year. Her leadership is driven by a commitment to world-class patient care, enhancing patient safety standards, and fostering an optimal work environment for healthcare professionals.
A passionate advocate for women's leadership in business and medicine, Dr. McNeil actively supports causes related to the arts, healthcare, and empowering young women through her board memberships and philanthropic endeavors.
