Ryan Tyner, MD, FACS

President, Physician Enterprise

Ryan Tyner, MD, FACS, joined Adventist HealthCare as the President of Physician Enterprise in May 2026.

As President of Physician Enterprise, Dr. Tyner drives the strategic direction and operational performance of Adventist HealthCare Adventist Medical Group and Cardiac Associates, the Heart & Vascular service line and the Cancer service line.

Dr. Tyner completed his undergraduate studies at Creighton University before earning his medical degree from New York Medical College. He completed his General Surgery residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Following his surgical training, Dr. Tyner served nine years on active duty in the United States Air Force, including two deployments to Afghanistan. In recognition of his military service, he was awarded the Bronze Star and Army Commendation Medals.

After completing his military service, Dr. Tyner joined Optum Health in 2012. During his tenure, he held multiple physician leadership roles, including oversight of surgical services, specialty care operations, and leadership positions as Chief Medical Officer and Chief Physician Executive. Most recently, Dr. Tyner served as Chief Medical Officer of Ryse Health, a healthcare organization focused on cardiometabolic care.

Dr. Tyner’s extensive background and experience in leading large multi-specialty medical groups will further strengthen Adventist HealthCare’s ambulatory and population health strategy.
