Todd Cohen is vice president of facilities for Adventist HealthCare, where he oversees strategic planning, development and operations for the organization’s facilities, real estate and capital asset portfolio. He is responsible for nearly 3 million square feet of owned and leased properties, including hospitals, ambulatory care centers and clinical support facilities.

With more than 30 years of healthcare leadership experience, Cohen has helped shape Adventist HealthCare’s long-term facilities and real estate strategy since joining the organization in 2014. His expertise includes master planning, capital development, facilities optimization, emergency preparedness, energy procurement and utility management. Through innovative approaches and standardized processes, he has helped drive operational efficiencies, cost savings and enhanced care environments across the health system. Most recently, he provided executive oversight for the design and construction of the Horizon Tower at Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center.

Cohen began his healthcare career in direct patient care, serving as a patient care technician in an emergency department and later as a discharge planner at Suburban Hospital. He earned a Master of Health Administration from The George Washington University and completed his administrative residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where he advanced to director of operations for support services. He later held leadership roles at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center before joining Adventist HealthCare.

A Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Cohen is also Evidence-Based Design Accredited and Certified through The Center for Health Design. He serves on the faculty of The George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health and the New York School of Interior Design.

Active in healthcare and nonprofit organizations, Cohen serves in leadership roles with several professional associations and community organizations. A lifelong Montgomery County resident, he lives in North Potomac with his wife, Rabbi Baht Yameem Weiss, and their two sons.
