Amada Amante Serves Up Partnership to Support Women's and Children's Services at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital

Rockville, MD - Ristorante Amada Amante, located in Rockville, is raising funds in support of the Pediatrics Department in the Women's and Children's Center at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital.

Amada Amante chef and owner Phil Burleson announced the promotion that aims to raise at least $5,000 annually to benefit the Pediatrics Department at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital Women's and Children's Center, which cared for more than 4,000 children last year. He kicked off the promotion with the presentation of a $1,000 check.

"The same phenomenal growth that has created the environment for me to open a fine dining restaurant here in Rockville has created greater demands for medical services in the community," said Chef Burleson. "My family and I have appreciated the excellent staff and care at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, especially when my preschoolers have needed emergency attention. This menu promotion is a way for us to partner with our Amada Amante diners and the hospital to help fund the future of this critical community resource."

Chef Burleson conceived the promotion as a way to give local diners an incentive to visit his new restaurant and to support a meaningful cause at the same time. Chef Burleson is also supplying in-kind donations to the Shady Grove Adventist Hospital Foundation, to support its overall fundraising efforts.

"It's always exciting for us when business people in our community recognize the important services we provide and support us in meaningful ways," said William Smith, Chief Development Officer for Shady Grove Adventist Hospital Foundation. "With Amada Amante, we are looking forward to a successful and delicious partnership."

Shady Grove Adventist Hospital offers a full range of women's and children's services, including a pediatric emergency department, a neonatal intensive care unit, a maternity unit with private labor and delivery rooms, a pediatric same-day surgery unit, expertise in high-risk pregnancies, bedside ultrasounds, comprehensive breast health services, health education classes and home health services. All of these services are coordinated through the Women's and Children's Center.

Located in Rockville, Maryland, Shady Grove Adventist Hospital has 274 licensed beds and employs approximately 1,800 people. The hospital provides an array of health care services including emergency medicine, pediatrics, neonatal intensive care, maternity and high-risk maternity services, cardiology, orthopedics, oncology and many others.
