Adventist Healthcare and Employees Supporting Katrina Relief Efforts

Rockville, MD - Responding to the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina, Adventist HealthCare will support humanitarian relief efforts in the Gulf Coast through an employee donation matching program. Adventist HealthCare will match, dollar-for-dollar, employees’ contributions to the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army, or the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) up to $100,000. The organization will also support employees who wish to volunteer clinical and technical skills with these aid agencies in the disaster stricken areas.

“The events that have unfolded in the Gulf States are truly catastrophic and all of us at Adventist HealthCare feel compelled to reach out and help,” said William G. “Bill” Robertson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Adventist HealthCare. The organization established a similar matching fund program earlier this year to aid victims of the South Asian tsunami.
