Dennis Hansen Joins Shady Grove Adventist Hospital as Chief Operating Officer

Rockville, MD - Shady Grove Adventist Hospital is pleased to announce that Dennis Hansen has joined the hospital as its Chief Operating Officer. In his role at Shady Grove, Hansen will oversee all hospital operations and will support business and strategic development.

"Dennis brings a number of outstanding skills to Shady Grove Adventist Hospital and we are thrilled that he has joined our team," notes Shady Grove President, Deborah A. Yancer. "Dennis' experience in managing a multi-facility operation will be particularly helpful as we prepare to open the Shady Grove Adventist Emergency Center in Germantown this summer."

Hansen brings a wide array of experience in the healthcare industry to Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. For the past 10 years, he has worked for the Centura Health System in Denver, Colorado, where he has been the Vice President, Chief Operating Officer at Littleton Adventist Hospital since 2002. Prior to that, he worked as the Administrative Director of Business Support, Outpatient Rehabilitation, Occupational Health Service and Rehabilitation Services at Porter and Littleton Adventist Hospitals. Hansen has also worked as an Organizational Development Consultant as well as a Performance Consultant.

Hansen holds an MBA from the University of California, Irvine and a BS in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University. He began his career as a physical therapist.
