Adventist HealthCare Vice President Appointed to Maryland Patient Safety Board

Susan Glover, Vice President and Chief Quality & Integrity Officer for Adventist HealthCare in Rockville, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Maryland Patient Safety Center.

Guided by a 19-member board, the Maryland Patient Safety Center develops and implements strategies that improve the safety of patient care in Maryland.  The center, created by the Maryland Health Care Commission (MHCC) in 2004, brings hospitals and health care providers together to study the causes of unsafe practices and to put practical improvements in place to prevent errors.

In her role with Adventist HealthCare, Glover directs quality and performance improvement for the organization by overseeing programs designed for better health care delivery.  Her role at Adventist HealthCare streamlines with the vision of the Maryland Patient Safety Center to make Maryland hospitals and nursing homes the safest in the nation.

“I am honored to serve on the Maryland Patient Safety Center Board of Directors,” Glover said. “The center leads the way in providing a unique approach of collaboration, education and research among Maryland health-care providers in order to achieve a culture of safety for all of their patients.”

Glover joined Adventist HealthCare in January 2001. She has a Master of Health Care Administration degree from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from George Mason University.
