Adventist HealthCare Promotes Jepson to Vice President of Government Relations and Public Policy

Rockville, Md. - Adventist HealthCare announces the promotion of Robert Jepson to Vice President of Government Relations and Public Policy. In his newly expanded role, Jepson will oversee public policy and advocacy issues at the local, state and federal levels for the Rockville-based, health-care organization, which provides health-care services throughout Maryland and New Jersey.

Jepson has been with Adventist HealthCare for 16 years, serving as Communications Director, and most recently as Associate Vice President of Government Relations and Public Policy.

"Rob has been instrumental in connecting the services of Adventist HealthCare to the communities we serve in a manner that is focused on meeting the future needs of our community and expanding access to care for all," said William G. "Bill" Robertson, Adventist HealthCare President and Chief Executive Officer. "He is a talented and committed leader, has helped strengthen Adventist HealthCare’s community partnerships and is very deserving of this promotion."

Recently, Jepson helped in the formation of Washington Adventist Hospital’s Vision for Expanded Access, which led to the creation of the Adventist HealthCare Center on Health Disparities, a tri-state collaboration designed to identify and eliminate health disparities in Frederick, Montgomery and Prince George’s counties. He also has helped establish multiple relationships with community groups designed to promote wellness and prevent disease.

"Health care is a sacred trust between an organization and the communities it serves," said Jepson. "I enjoy developing genuine connections with people that result in expanding people’s access to health care."

Jepson is a native of Montgomery County, having been born at Washington Adventist Hospital and raised in Takoma Park, Md.

Adventist HealthCare , an integrated, health-care delivery organization based in Rockville, Maryland, is one of the largest employers in the state of Maryland.
