Adventist HealthCare Names Colorado Health Care Executive as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President

Terry Forde to lead organization’s Maryland entities and operations

Rockville, MD - Terry Forde, former President of Parker Adventist Hospital in Parker, Co., has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Adventist HealthCare, where he will oversee the organization’s Maryland entities and operations.

For the past eight years, Forde served as an executive at Centura Health, a faith-based organization jointly sponsored by Catholic Health Initiatives and Adventist Health Systems.  Centura is the largest health system in Colorado operating a wide range of health-care services, including 11 acute-care hospitals.

“Terry has a track record of engaging employees and physicians to deliver world-class clinical care, patient experience and financial performance,” said William G. “Bill” Robertson, President & Chief Executive Officer of Adventist HealthCare.  “I believe he will play an important role in creating synergy among the Maryland-based Adventist HealthCare entities necessary to help better serve our communities.“

During his tenure with Centura, Forde served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Porter Adventist Hospital, a 368-bed tertiary care hospital.  In his most recent role as Chief Executive Officer of Parker Adventist Hospital, Forde led a rapidly growing community system hospital while delivering extraordinary clinical, patient experience and financial performance. Forde has served in numerous roles in the health care field for the past 19 years, including locations in Kansas, Missouri and Colorado.

“I am looking forward to helping shape the future of Adventist HealthCare as part of the executive team,” Forde said. “It is a privilege and an honor to serve with an organization that has such a great history in its background as part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.”

Adventist HealthCare, based in Rockville, is the first and largest health-care system in Montgomery County, Md., with five hospitals, the largest home health agency, physician practices and other health-related services. It is also one of the largest private employers in the state and contributes more in charity care and community benefit than any other health system in the county.
Forde lives with his wife, Marijane, and their three children in Silver Spring.
