Online Support Group
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and keep our patients, caregivers and community healthy, our support groups will be held online via Zoom until further notice. Our in-person classes and support groups have been cancelled.
How It Works
To optimize the experience of each mom, groups are currently being limited to 10 participants, so register early. After registering, your registration will be processed within 1-2 business days. Once confirmed, you will be emailed your Zoom access link and instructions for your date and time.
SPECIAL LOCATION UPDATE/CHANGE REGARDING DISCOVERING MOTHERHOOD SUPPORT GROUP MEETING
Due to Adventist HealthCare’s Visitor Restrictions for Flu Season policy, the Discovering Motherhood support group will not meet inside Shady Grove Medical Center until the end of the flu season. This decision was made to keep all our patients and employees as flu-free as possible. This means that ALL children age 12 and under will not be allowed in any area of the hospital or facility, except to see family members during end-of-life circumstances. In these cases, the children may be asked to wear masks. Secondly, if there are any visitors coming into our facilities exhibiting flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose and muscle aches, they will not be allowed to enter. To ensure that we provide our community with effective services, we have made changes to our usual meeting location. Please be advised of the special update/location change for this support group. Starting Monday, February 24th, 2020, the Discovering Motherhood support group will meet at the Sunrise Senior Living Center at 8 Baltimore Road in Rockville, MD. Please park at St. Mary's Catholic Church (520 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD 20852) facing the white fence near the Metro Station or in the row near the middle of the parking lot with the tree in the cement island. Sunrise is a short stroller push away at 8 Baltimore Road. We will email parking permits to display on your dashboard on of your car to those who have already registered. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, or difficulty in finding the location change: 1-800-542-5096.
