Nurse Externship
Get hands-on experience and build confidence in your skills during a student nurse externship at Adventist HealthCare.
About the Externship
If you’re working towards a bachelor’s degree in nursing, put your classroom studies to use during the Student Nurse Externship. The externship is a paid, full-time job shadowing and training program that takes place over eight weeks during the summer between your junior and senior year. You’ll learn from a supportive preceptor and other experienced nursing educators.
Benefits of the Externship
Being a part of the Summer Nurse Externship, increases your opportunity to start your exciting nursing career in the Nurse Residency Program.
Requirements
You must maintain full-time status for the entire externship. This means you should be available for work for 8 weeks starting in June. You may be assigned to either a day or night shift and have the opportunity to work weekends. Leaving the program early may affect your future employment opportunities at Adventist HealthCare.
Student Nursing Uniform
The Nurse Externship uniform consists of a white uniform scrub top and blue uniform scrub pants.
