Interested in Conducting Research?
If your project has a systematic framework, involves people or PHI, and the project results will be used outside of Adventist HealthCare, it must be reviewed and approved by the IRB prior to initiation.

Steps in Conducting Research
Project Development
- Identify research question
- Confirm support from leaders and collaborators
- Draft project proposal
Training Completion
- Complete required online research training
- Review Adventist HealthCare IRB Research Policies
Leadership Evaluation & Sign-off
- Complete research checklist
- Provide supporting documentation
Research Ethics Approval
- Submit initial review application through the IRB online platform
- Address IRB requirements and questions
Project Initiation
- Recruit and enroll subjects
- Submit amendment if project changes are required
- Complete annual review/check-in
