About Barbara Skeen
Barbara Skeen, FNP-C, is a certified nurse practitioner with Adventist HealthCare Structural Heart Program. She believes in building meaningful connections with patients and their families, helping them feel heard, informed and confident in their healthcare experience.
Before her time at Adventist HealthCare, she was a nurse practitioner at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. She conducted rounds, developed patient management plans, made evidence-based diagnoses and collaborated with multidisciplinary health teams to manage patients’ cardiovascular care.
She completed her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain University in Downers Grove, IL.
Outside of work, she loves to explore new places, cultures and cuisines in addition to unwinding with a good book.
