About Bruce Bortnick
Bruce Bortnick, MD, FACR, is a diagnostic radiologist with Adventist HealthCare Imaging. Dr. Bortnick has been practicing radiology for more than 30 years and was the former chairman of the Department of Radiology at Shady Grove Hospital. He also served on the board of trustees for the Shady Grove Adventist Foundation. Dr. Bortnick believes in providing his patients with attentive, detail-oriented care.
Dr. Bortnick earned his medical degree from Howard University School of Medicine. He completed his internship in general surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center, his residency in diagnostic radiology and his fellowship in interventional radiology and ultrasound at George Washington University Medical Center. He was the former president of the D.C. metropolitan chapter of the American College of Radiology and the D.C. chapter of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. Dr. Bortnick specializes in ultrasound, mammography, computed tomography and nuclear medicine. He also has a strong interest in pediatric radiology.
In his spare time, he enjoys biking, swimming, following the Nationals and spending time with his family.
