About Eleisha Flanagan
Eleisha Flanagan, MD, FACS is a board-certified general surgeon with Adventist Medical Group and Adventist HealthCare Fort Washington Medical Center.
Dr. Flanagan received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington D.C. She completed her general surgery residency at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., and a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
She comes to Adventist HealthCare from University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health where she focused on providing individualized, patient-centered care in conjunction with minimally invasive surgical techniques. Dr. Flanagan enjoys getting to know her patients and advocates for a holistic approach to health by emphasizing the importance of various dimensions of wellness.
As a Maryland native, Dr. Flanagan feels privileged to support and provide for a community in which she herself takes part. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering with the Smithsonian Institute, running and traveling.
Dr. Flanagan is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the Society of American Gastroenterologists and Surgeons.
