About Melsjan Shkullaku
Melsjan Shkullaku, MD, MBA, FACC, FSCAI is a board-certified interventional and structural cardiologist with Adventist Medical Group.
Dr. Shkullaku received his medical degree from State University of New York, Upstate Medical University and completed his internal medicine residency at University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC). He served as clinical instructor for the Advanced Heart Failure Service at UMMC while completing a master’s in business administration at University of Maryland, Towson University. Dr. Shkullaku continued his clinical training at UMMC and Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center by completing fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology and Advanced Interventional/Structural Cardiology.
He has participated in a number of research activities and has written several publications and abstracts in addition to attending and presenting at numerous lectures and conferences. Dr. Shkullaku is a Fellow of American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology and Echocardiography. Dr. Shkullaku's clinical interests include treatment of coronary artery disease and valvular disease using minimally invasive techniques. His treatment goals are focused on a collaborative effort to improve patient quality of life.
Dr. Shkullaku enjoys spending time with his wife and two little girls. He is fluent in Albanian. He loves to travel, particularly to his home country in Eastern Europe. His hobbies are soccer, basketball and outdoor activities.
