About Michelle Oetjens
Michelle Oetjens, MSN, BSN, FNP-C, RN is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with Adventist Medical Group at the Montgomery Village Primary Care office.
Michelle received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University.
She recently worked as a nurse practitioner in an all-male prison where she treated inmates with chronic diseases, acute problems and triaged trauma injuries. Michelle has also worked at a private primary care practice treating men and women of all ethnicities.
Michelle has over fifteen years’ experience working as a registered nurse. She has worked at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. and as an emergency room nurse in Albuquerque, NM. She became a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) in New Mexico and continued her SANE work in her beloved city of Boston, MA.
Michelle believes in treating the whole family and caring for the individual person. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, swimming with her eight children, playing with her three dogs, watching movies and playing family board games.
