About Sam Parsia

Sam Parsia, MD, is a pulmonologist for Adventist Medical Group. Prior to joining Adventist HealthCare, Dr. Parsia practiced pulmonary medicine at major hospitals in Ohio, New York and the Washington D.C. area and was an assistant professor at New York University. He currently teaches pulmonology and critical care to residents and fellows at the University of Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. Dr. Parsia believes in helping his patients understand their diagnosis and arriving at informed, shared decisions regarding their treatment.

Dr. Parsia earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, his master of public health in global health from New York University and completed his residency at the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. Dr. Parsia is board-certified in pulmonary disease and critical care by the American Board of Internal Medicine. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, running, skiing, attending classical music concerts and watching his kids play sports.
