About William Guy Weigold, III
Wm. Guy Weigold, MD, is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and Cardiovascular CT.
Dr. Weigold received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota and completed his internship and residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Lakeside Veterans Affairs Medical Center of Northwestern University. After residency, he completed a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.
Prior to joining Adventist HealthCare, Dr. Weigold was the Medical Director of Cardiovascular CT as well as Attending Physician in the Cardiology Division at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and MedStar Heart & Vascular Institute in Washington, D.C. During his time at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, he was also a preceptor for Georgetown University School of Medicine students and a teaching attending on the Cardiology, Cardiovascular ICU, and Cardiology Consult services.
Dr. Weigold has published in several different publications including abstracts, books and peer reviewed articles. He has also presented on a variety of topics at invited lectures and scientific presentations and has completed several research activities. Dr. Weigold is a member of various professional associations including the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association and the Society of Cardiovascular CT.
