Our community aphasia groups are open to individuals with aphasia and are facilitated by a speech-language pathologist.

Registration is not required.

Fees & Payment

$140 for six (6) sessions payable the first day of group by check, cash, or credit card. Newcomers may try out the group at no cost before signing up.

Description

Our community aphasia groups are open to individuals with aphasia and are facilitated by a speech-language pathologist. The groups provide opportunities for individuals to work on successful communication and social interaction in a supportive, positive and small group setting.

What is Aphasia?

Aphasia is a language impairment resulting from a stroke or other injury to the language part of the brain. Aphasia can affect talking, listening, reading and/or writing.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the case of bad weather, we follow Montgomery County public schools scheduling. If school starts late, morning classes and programs will be canceled; if school is canceled, all classes and programs will be canceled. Please call to confirm class cancellations.
