Week 3 Q&A with Delmi

We spoke with Delmi following her third week in the academy to see how things were going. Here's what she told us.

What was something an instructor taught you this week?

This week we continued to learn about the different systems in our body. We also learned about nutrition, different types of devices used to transfer a patient and vital signs.

Did you learn anything that surprised you?

One thing that stood out this week was how many muscles we have in our bodies.

What excited you this week?

I was really excited to get hands on practice on vital signs.

What challenged you this week?

This week we had a lot of skills to learn which made it difficult for me to remember all the steps.

What has the experience been like with your fellow trainees?

My fellow trainees have been helpful with our hands on skills. With vital signs we practiced on each other to master the skill before going to clinicals.

On a scale of 1-10 how difficult was this week?

I would rate this week a 3.
