Week 4 Q&A with Delmi
We spoke with Delmi following her fourth week in the Academy to see how things were going. Here's what she told us.
What was something an instructor taught you this week?
This week we focused on the rest of the systems and nutrition. We also had hands on practice in our CPR training.
Did you learn anything that surprised you?
I learned that there are many different types of diets based on patient needs.
What excited you this week?
This week I was excited for CPR and code readiness training.
What challenged you this week?
What was challenging for me was getting ready for our clinical experience and preparing to take the final exam.
What has the experience been like with your fellow trainees?
I’m grateful to have had a group of wonderful people. We all get along very well and it feels like a little family.

The CNA Academy at Adventist HealthCare is an innovative program designed to support those seeking to start a career in patient care services as a certified nursing assistant (CNA). The academy offers classroom and clinical training, in a hospital setting, to prepare candidates to pass the CNA certification exam.
