Comfortable Open Bore MRI Machines
If you have an MRI scan, your procedure may take place in an open bore MRI machine, also known as a wide bore MRI. This machine offers the same detailed imaging results as a regular MRI. But it has more space inside so you feel more comfortable.

Plan your trip to the imaging center using public transportation on the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) website. There’s a stop in front of our building.
Waiting Room & Visitor Rules
Your safety and privacy are our main concern. If a friend or loved one comes with you to the imaging center, they will need to stay in the waiting room during your appointment. Unless accompanied by another adult, please do not bring children under 10 to the imaging center.
Your Germantown Care Team
Your radiologist will lead a care team that includes experienced, certified technologists. A radiologist is a doctor with advanced training to diagnose conditions using medical imaging procedures.
Your care team will answer your questions and help you feel comfortable before, during and after your procedure. We’ll also work with your referring physician to get your results quickly.
