If you have an MRI scan, your procedure will take place in a wide bore MRI machine. This machine offers the same detailed imaging results as a regular MRI. But it has more space inside so you feel more comfortable.

Be sure to have your photo id, insurance card and physician order or referral available when calling to schedule. This will ensure your appointment is scheduled without delay.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
In order for your appointment to run smoothly, please bring the following items to your appointment. If you don’t have the necessary information, your appointment time could be delayed.
- Insurance cards
- Referral or order from your physician
- Any scans or reports from outside of Adventist HealthCare, if needed

Visit our imaging center on Blackwell Road in Rockville in the Shady Grove Medical Pavilion building, just after the Key West intersection (Route 28) and Shady Grove Road. Enjoy free, onsite parking during your appointment.

Use the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) website to plan your trip to Adventist HealthCare Imaging. The bus stop is on the corner of Shady Grove Road and Research Boulevard.
